About the Author, Ken Schwartz

A Time for a Lady, A Place for a Lady marks Ken’s debut as a novelist, though he’s spent much of his life in the company of words. He has since published three more books, "Finding Abigail", "Bravo's Call", and "Into What Good Night?"

In college, Ken led Norseman, his college newspaper, as editor-in-chief, guiding it to second place in General Excellence in Northern California. He also earned an individual award for his editorial on unequal facilities for men's and women's athletics.

Ken earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Santa Clara University, where he received the Rebello Award for excellence in modern languages and was inducted into Phi Sigma Iota, the international language honor society.

As a reporter for the Goodland Daily News, he covered everything from the police beat to public education, and wrote a weekly sports column.

He shares life’s adventures with his Venezuelan wife, Dilcia, their daughter, Christina and a Siamese cat, Boots that adopted the family.
