Hey everyone!

A bit about me:- I am a South African, and my passion is housing, looking after and caring for disenfranchised elderly people - people who typically cannot afford to live, never mind afford an old-age home or accommodation in a retirement-facility.

These people are largely forgotten in South Africa, and while the government has an old-age grant program (SASSA) which pays out monthly, it really doesn't provide them with enough funds to even feed themselves for a week, let alone pay for accommodation, utilities, etc..

I have been doing this for eight years now, running the business mainly off my own savings until last year, when my Father's extensive shortages on his medical aid after a two month-stay in intensive care in hospital (where he passed away) took much more than I had left. This left me with no other option but to close the business, as I could no longer afford to provide safe and secure harbour for my 'wards', and left me bankrupt.

My "works" here constitute an attempt to collect enough of a side-income to get back on my feet and once again start the business - the need in South Africa for someone to care for this important and valuable facet of our society is extreme.
