Macho Lara

Macho Lara is a pastor, educator, and writer who helps people attend to God’s presence in the middle of real life. He co-founded and co-pastors The Table NYC, a church community in Queens shaped by hospitality, justice, and everyday discipleship. Alongside his pastoral work, Macho teaches information technology to young adults in a workforce development program.

He is the author of Those Who Wait, a book that explores the spiritual and emotional terrain of waiting. It speaks to the disoriented, the weary, and those learning how to remain faithful when certainty feels thin. He is also the writer of The Table Guides, a four-part eBook series for pastors, planters, and ministry leaders navigating shared life, responsibility, strain, and staying present over time.

Macho lives in Sunnyside, New York with his wife Erica and their two children, Eliana and Elias. Whether he is preaching, teaching, writing, or sharing a meal, his work is rooted in the conviction that God continues to meet people right where they are.
