Patrick Cullen is an airline pilot and father.

His life changed forever with the death of his daughter Emily — one of twin girls. Accustomed to high-pressure environments and split-second decision-making, he found himself unprepared for the silence and chaos that followed such a profound loss.

Echoes of Emily is his first book — a personal account of grief, love, and the hidden endurance it takes to carry on after losing a child. He wrote it not just to honour Emily’s short life, but to speak to others who walk a similar path — often quietly, often alone.

Patrick lives in the UK with his wife and daughter. When he’s not flying, he writes and advocates for greater openness around grief and emotional wellbeing.
