About the author:
Brian K. Balzer is just a down to Earth midwestern boy in an old man’s body. He grew up playing in the fields and pastures of central Kansas using his imagination to make his ‘adventures’ even more exciting.
Even at a young age he was prone to storytelling. Often his storytelling was done in an attempt to get out of trouble. Of course, the adults in his life called it something else entirely.
When he was young he rode horses and motorcycles and loved to go fast on either one. In 1998 he learned to ride a wheelchair instead due to an accident which happened ‘In the Blink of an Eye’. (Which is one of his short stories.) Make no mistake, he still leads a very active life.
He still enjoys going fast whether it be in his wheelchair being pulled by his son’s Pitbull Maisy or a sit ski being pulled by a boat. It’s easy to say the wipeouts behind a boat are far more fun. If he had the money he’d probably be seen cruising down the road on an old-school motorcycle with training wheels and a suicide shifter.
His writing is a lot like tornados in Kansas – all over the place.
