Dr. Vintcent Scott Smithson is an energetic retired Purdue University Northwest Professor of Communication. His caring teaching style earned him respect from students and colleagues alike.
He and his wife, Lisa, delight in biking, hiking, golf, tennis, pickleball, boating and gatherings that echo with laughter and great conversation. Their favorite moments are when their home is filled with their 4 kids, 2 spouses, 3 grandkids and 1 delightful cavapoo pup!
Growing up on a dairy farm in rural Illinois, Vintcent learned the values of hard work, community and clear dialogue at an early age. In retirement, his love for communication remains vibrant—as he now pursues writing from his southwest Florida home. He hopes to instill a passion for reading and imagination in kids as well as nurture family values and a love for God as their Creator and Savior.
