We are Kyle and Grace Lyseng, a father-daughter writing team from the cold prairies of North Dakota, where our family pastors a small church. Long winters and a shared love of storytelling brought us together in a search for something we couldn’t find—biblical fiction that speaks to middle-grade readers in a world full of noise.

Frustrated by the lack of Christian adventure books for young readers, we decided to write our own.

Grace is the imagination behind it all. Her boundless creativity fills the world of Peacebound with heart, humor, and unexpected heroes. Kyle turns those ideas into written stories, giving shape and voice to the journey.

Together, we created the Peacebound series—a Christian fantasy adventure following Kip and Peanut, two young squirrels learning to live with love, mercy, and peace in a world torn apart by war.
