Keith Howard is the author of Unclaimed, But Loud: The Memoir of a Shy and Retiring Boy Who Was Neither. A U.S. Army veteran, former preacher, improv actor, and recovery advocate, he’s also been a school principal, radio host, and professional pain in the ass. From 2018–2023, he chaired the Recovery Task Force for the New Hampshire Governor’s Commission on Alcohol and Other Drugs and served as Executive Director of Hope for New Hampshire Recovery. His writing blends dark humor, emotional honesty, and spiritual mischief. He also publishes the Substack The Rest Is Moonshine, which is weird, often funny, and sometimes accidentally profound. He lives in Manchester, NH with his wife, Maria Elena Letona, who outclasses and outshines him in all things.
