I have been writing and creating stories since I could hold a writing utensil and vividly recall writing my very first, full-length, story around 8 years old. Initially, in my teen years, I took the path of journalism but was met with a lot of 'this is a dying industry' commentary, so I pivoted. The fire kept burning however, and to scratch the writing itch I found ways to pepper writing into my career path. No matter what industry I was working in, I found myself contributing creative input. From company newsletters to marketing materials and website content, I was compelled to simply get the words out.

Regardless of my career on paper, in the background I was writing numerous styles and genres of fiction that I would toss into a folder and call it a day. Hitting the “what am I doing with my life” stage forced me to acknowledge years of feedback from peers and family members, so I went back to school to complete my bachelor’s in creative writing. Of the areas of interest for creative outlet, children's themes tend to be the easiest place for me to explore wonder and the bittersweet aspects of life lessons most freely, so I decided to start there with my publishing journey.

I appreciate everyone that joins me on this path, and I hope to make the world a little brighter one word at a time. One way in which I am trying to make an impact is through my commitment to support causes that mean something to me. I am giving a percentage of proceeds earned from book Not All Reindeer Can Fly to a local no-kill shelter which is run by some people who I appreciate immensely for their incredible efforts every day.
