I would like to dedicate this book to anyone who is struggling with addiction and its relentless grip. My compassion, sympathy, and empathy to all of us who identify with this illness, my heart goes out to you. Additionally, this book goes out to anyone who has lost someone to addiction not just through death, but to those who are estranged or relationships destroyed because it's too risky to emotionally invest. As I write this, I myself have two people I adore who aren't in my life because the damage I caused while in active addiction has created an understandable distance. Lastly, I want to dedicate this book to all those who have shown me there is a better way to live life. People in N/A, A/A, shows like The Chosen, pastors like Joby Martin, and Steven Furtick. God bless all those who believe and even those who don't, I was once unsure myself.
