Daniel Sanderson

Dan Sanderson is a father, writer, and founder of the TappyTots Awareness Foundation. His journey into authorship began when his young son, who is non-verbal, struggled to express his needs. Determined to bridge the communication gap, Dan created the TappyTots AAC app—a simple, picture-based tool designed to give his son a voice. When he saw it working, he made the app 100% free, so other families could benefit too.

This decision led to the creation of the TappyTots Awareness Foundation, a not-for-profit focused on autism education, inclusive learning tools, and keeping the app free and updated. Dan is also the author of Speak with Pictures: An Autism-Friendly Alphabet Book, along with the inclusive children’s series "TappyTales". About TappyTom and TappyTia Journey thru life. His books are designed to support early learners, AAC users, and families navigating autism with love and hope—using images, stories, and compassion to help children be heard.

Dan Sanderson continues to deliver on a simple but powerful promise:

To give the voiceless a voice—one picture, one book, and one breakthrough at a time.
