Robbie Barnes

Robbie Barnes is a British children’s author and father of four. He is the creator of the Sofia & Cleo series, inspired by his real-life daughters and his experience working in special educational needs and disability support.

He created the series to give families like his own something honest to see themselves in. Stories where autism is not a problem to fix, but part of everyday life. Stories that show siblings learning each other, adapting, and loving in ways that do not always need words.

His books centre on family life, sensory moments and the quiet bond between siblings, celebrating inclusion and the small details that often go unnoticed.

When he’s not writing, he’s usually surrounded by family chaos, strong coffee and new story ideas.
