Paige Brown

Paige Brown has dedicated her life to teaching, guided by a lifelong passion to nurture, inspire, and empower young minds. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an Elementary Teaching Certification, Paige spent her entire career working with elementary students in Hawaiʻi. Her passion has always gone beyond academics—she focused on developing social-emotional skills, believing that helping children understand themselves and connect with others is the foundation of lifelong learning and well-being.

For Paige, teaching was never just a job; it was a calling. Her classroom was a place where every child could feel seen, safe, loved and supported. Over the years, she poured her heart and thoughtful intentions into helping her students grow not just as learners, but as kind, confident, and emotionally aware individuals.

This book Response Ability in the Classroom is the product of years of shared reflection, collaboration, and deep friendship with her co-writer, Cyndi Willmarth. Paige and Cyndi spent countless hours exchanging ideas, supporting one another through challenges, and celebrating the joys of teaching. Their partnership is rooted in mutual respect and a shared belief in the power of how trusted, connected relationships change lives.

Together, they wrote this book as an expression of their love for teaching and their hope to uplift and inspire others who are walking the same path. It is a celebration of the classroom, of the children who fill it, and of the educators who give their hearts to it every day.
