Adama Wiggan is the creator of The Cray Crays—a playful and emotionally intelligent world where crayons come to life with bold personalities and big feelings. With over a decade of experience as a nanny, substitute teacher, and creative storyteller, Adama brings a deep understanding of early childhood development to every book she writes.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and English Literature from Southern New Hampshire University, and is passionate about helping young children connect with their emotions, build confidence, and enjoy reading. Her debut picture book, The Crayon That Cried, is part of a growing series aimed at inspiring joy, empathy, and imagination—one crayon at a time.
When she’s not creating stories, Adama hosts playground literacy pop-ups, reads to classrooms, and shares fun educational content through her brand, The Cray Crays aka The Hue Crew.
