Julia Listeca

Julia Listeca is a children’s book illustrator based in Austria, working from a quiet studio in a historic town surrounded by mountains and castles.

She creates warm, emotionally rich illustrations for picture books, board books, and early readers for children aged 0 to 8 — always with a deep love for storytelling and characters that feel real and memorable.

Working in a digital format, Julia brings to life both realistic and imaginary worlds filled with animals, children, nature, and a touch of magic. Her illustration process includes everything from initial sketches and storyboarding to character development, color palette selection, final artwork, and — when needed — text layout.

Julia has illustrated books for authors across Europe, the United States, and India. Her goal is to help each story become visually engaging, personal, and full of wonder for young readers.
