Leschnikoff Nancy

Nancy Leschnikoff is an award winning author-illustrator-designer based in Kent near London with her family, where she works in her little studio, drinking copious amounts of tea!

Growing up with her father who was an advertising illustrator, and her mother whose family's professional heritage was journalism, Nancy learned early on that drawing and writing are her thing, and was always encouraged to stretch her creative wings where possible.

She went on to study design and illustration at university, which led immediately to design studio work. Nancy applied on a whim to a major children’s publisher and worked her way up to a senior level, designing, managing and overseeing all manner of children’s books, from novelty board books, fiction covers, to cook books and pop-up books.

After 15 happy years, Nancy went freelance and her illustration career flourished having now worked with many of the leading publishers in the U.K. The next milestone was to write and illustrate a picture book which Nancy proudly started as a collaboration with her daughter and has since had UG WANT HUG! published with Hachette, the second in the series coming out in 2027.

Nancy loves nothing more than her creativity making little readers giggle, and hopes to make many more readers happy.
