Dr. Laura Brown PhD

Rev. Dr. Lauree Brown is an author, counsel, and educator whose writing blends history, spirituality, and storytelling to illuminate hidden wisdom. With a Ph.D. in Metaphysical Theology and a background in psychology and anthropology, she brings both academic insight and heartfelt storytelling to her books.

Her historical fiction series, Obscure Women of the Bible, begins with Beyond the Well, a vivid reimagining of the life of the Samaritan woman who encountered Jesus at the well. She also writes spiritual nonfiction, including The Allegory of the Cross: Sophia Rising from the Cave, Reclaiming the Light Beyond Religion, which draws from her doctoral research to help readers explore the wisdom of Sophia, the Divine Feminine, and the journey toward inner liberation.

When she isn’t writing, Lauree is an educator, community advocate, and speaker passionate about second chances, empowerment, and the spark of life in all things. She lives in Indiana, where she enjoys time with family, working with plants and herbs, and creating stories that inspire resilience and awakening.
