John McDermott

John McDermott has been teaching/consulting for 52 years. He is currently a Senior Instructor Emeritus for the University of Colorado Denver Campus. John has taught elementary, secondary, undergarduate and graduate students. John has co-authored two books on Motivation and Engagement (Clock Watchers and Just Right Challenge). He recently completed a book for all individuals interested in motivating and engaging children, workers, and students. This is the purpose of his latest book, The Nature of Learning. John believes that all learners should enjoy any opportunity to learn and he offers a roadmap for this to occur. He uses Nature to review the critical attributes for this process.
