I write MM speculative fiction that blends hard science with human connection. My background in biology and systems design influences my worldbuilding. My stories are full of air scrubbers, algae beds, and the precise engineering required to survive in space.
My work explores themes of control, consequence, and the difficulty of trusting others when isolation feels safer. The Isiqalo Job, my debut, follows Aris Thorne, a xenobotanist in self-imposed exile after a catastrophic experiment. When a mysterious visitor arrives at his lab, Aris is forced to flee and join a crew searching for Isiqalo, a legendary seed that can supposedly grow in the vacuum of space and transform dead worlds into living ones. This is planned as a duology, though I'm considering expanding the universe further.
I split my time between research archives and greenhouses, testing my fictional science against reality. When I'm not writing, I'm usually tending my orchids or hiking the Appalachian trails with my dog, 130 lbs of pure love, an American Bully XXL named Venom. Why Venom? There must be something menacing about him, though he's sweet Venom.
