His debut novel, The Traitor’s Bargain, explores the fall of Bengal and the rise of the East India Company through the intertwined lives of rulers, conspirators, rebels, merchants, and soldiers. It is the first in a planned trilogy tracing the arc of British conquest and Indian resistance across the subcontinent.
