LaShunda McClain is a children’s book author, autism advocate, and proud mom dedicated to promoting inclusion and celebrating neurodiversity through children’s literature. Inspired by her son, PJ, she creates playful, colorful stories to encourage children to explore, imagine, embrace their differences, and recognize their unique strengths. With a master’s degree in literacy, LaShunda brings together her passion for education, literacy, and storytelling to create meaningful books that foster empathy, representation, and a lifelong love of reading. Her mission is simple: to help every child feel seen, valued, included, and empowered to embrace their own superpower, one story at a time.
