Sotiris Spyrou

Sotiris Spyrou is an AI governance consultant and the founder of Verity AI. He helps organisations put AI to work in a way their customers, staff and regulators can trust, from EU AI Act and ISO 42001 readiness to the AI search visibility that now decides whether a brand gets found.

He spent 27 years in search and digital growth, including as Global Head of SEO and Content Strategy at Robert Half across 19 countries, Group Head of Search at Gamesys, and in private equity consulting at Singulier.

His books follow the same thread. Aligned: How to Build AI People Can Trust is the practical case for doing AI properly. Grift, Inc. is the record of what happens when companies don't. He wrote the AIGP Exam Guide for AI governance professionals, and the Executive AI Mastery series (TRANSFORM, Ethical AI, AI Moats) for the leaders who own the risk. Through Verity AI he also publishes Full Marks Press, study guides for university AI modules, and Safety Spotters, which teaches primary school children to question what AI tells them.

Away from AI governance, he created the Ulysses Universe science-fiction trilogy (The Blinding, The Void Between, The Return) and wrote The Substrate, a non-fiction investigation into the idea that reality is, at bottom, computation.

He writes in plain, direct prose, argues strong positions, and is honest about where they are weak. He lives in the United Kingdom.
