Catherine Kwon

Hello! I’m Catherine Kwon, a Korean-American illustrator based in California, USA.

I work with watercolor, gouache, colored pencils, Adobe Illustrator, and Procreate to create art that brings warmth, confidence, and small joys to readers.

I created an educational Korean book for my four-year-old son, first published as Little Pirates’ Hangeul Adventure, to make learning fun through adventurous stories. Recently, I published My Bestie & Me Coloring Book, a picture book aimed at teens and young adults, inspired by the joy and connection I continue to value as an adult.

Each project I create carries a piece of my own story and emotions, hoping to connect heart to heart with readers. Through my books and illustrations, I hope to share comfort, courage, and laughter with readers everywhere. My greatest joy is knowing that my art can brighten someone’s day, even just a little.
