Simoni Privato Goidanich has being working on disseminating Spiritism, especially in the Spanish language. She has been a Spiritist writer and speaker for several decades. She has published books, articles, and videos, in addition to giving lectures and seminars on Spiritism in several countries. She currently also publishes content on the “Estudios Espíritas” channels on YouTube, Telegram, and Twitch TV.
Simoni was not born into a Spiritist family. She is married and has a daughter with severe autism. Since she was young, she has faced misunderstanding and prejudice against her Spiritist beliefs. However, she perseveres with dedication in her tasks of studying, practicing, and promoting Spiritism.
She accepts no material compensation for her work to propagate the Spiritist doctrine, neither during travels to give lectures and seminars, nor as compensation for the Spiritist books she publishes. She donates all the money received for selling her books to Spiritist centers.
As a diplomat, she has lived in several countries, where she has collaborated in the founding of Spiritist centers and has worked in institutions dedicated to Spiritism.
Her first Spiritist book is “Pases a la luz del Espiritismo” (Passes in the Light of Spiritism), released at the World Spiritist Congress in Cartagena, Colombia, in October 2007. In Spiritism, "pases" refers to a healing practice by directing spiritual and human energy with hand movements.
In October 2008, during the Peruvian Spiritist Meeting, in which she was one of the speakers, she launched the book “Oratoria a la luz del Espiritismo” (Oratory in the Light of Spiritism).
In 2009 and 2010, she published the trilogy “Revista Espírita - Periódico de Estudios Psicológicos 1858-1861: Colección de Textos de Allan Kardec”; "Revista Espírita - Periódico de Estudios Psicológicos 1862-1865: Colección de Textos de Allan Kardec“; ”Revista Espírita - Periódico de Estudios Psicológicos 1866-1869: Colección de Textos de Allan Kardec.“ This trilogy contains texts by Allan Kardec that, until then, had never been published in Spanish. In addition, these are the first Spiritist books written, published, and released in Quito, Ecuador. They feature a preface by José María Fernandez Colavida, the ”Spanish Kardec," psychographed by Divaldo Pereira Franco.
Regarding this preface, Simoni stated the following in a June 2010 interview with the Spanish Spiritist newspaper El Ángel del Bien: "When I arrived in Quito in 2007, I did some historical research on Spiritism in Ecuador and discovered a fact that moved me. Even at the height of the religious persecution by the García Moreno government, when Spiritist publications were burned in the public squares of Guayaquil and Ecuadorian spiritists were arrested, Fernández Colavida lent his support to Spiritism in Ecuador by sending his magnificent “Revista de Estudios Psicológicos” (Journal of Psychological Studies) from Barcelona to Guayaquil. The “Spanish Kardec” never lost heart and always saw persecution as an incentive to spread the doctrine. Almost 140 years after the “acts of faith” in Guayaquil, Divaldo Franco told me about the preface without initially mentioning the author's name. Upon receiving this communication from Divaldo, I felt the same emotion I had experienced when I was doing historical research and immediately identified Fernández Colavida as the author of the preface.”
In 2013, she published the book “Mediumnidad y Pases: preguntas y respuestas” (Mediumship and Passes: Questions and Answers), which is a doctrinal investigation into the questions presented by Spiritist workers in northeastern Colombia during the seminar “Mediumnidad y Pases a la luz del Espiritismo” (Mediumship and Passes in the Light of Spiritism), which she gave in March 2012 in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
Also in 2013, she published the book “Divulgación del Espiritismo: enseñanzas del ejemplo de José María Fernández Colavida” (Disseminating Spiritism: teachings from the example of José María Fernández Colavida), launched at the South American Spiritist Congress in October of that year in Asunción, where she was one of the speakers. This book contains a preface by Joanna de Ângelis, psychographed by Divaldo Pereira Franco.
In April 2017, on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the publication of Allan Kardec's “The Spirits' Book,” Simoni undertook a historical and doctrinal research trip to Paris, where she obtained authentic documents from the French government, many of them unpublished, which contain enlightening information about the history of Spiritism and raise important doctrinal consequences. Such is the case with the documents that prove that the definitive edition of Allan Kardec's “The Genesis, Miracles, and Predictions According to Spiritism” is that of 1868. As a result of this research, Simoni published the book “El legado de Allan Kardec” (The Legacy of Allan Kardec), released by the Argentine Spiritist Confederation on October 3, 2017.
On March 4, 2018, at the seminar “Genesis - the historical rescue,” organized by the Union of Spiritist Societies of the State of São Paulo and the Center for Culture, Documentation, and Research on Spiritism - Eduardo Carvalho Monteiro, which brought together an audience of hundreds of people, she launched the book “O legado de Allan Kardec” in Portuguese.
