Charlotte A. Meyer

Charlotte A. Meyer loves stories about women—especially those that have been told in the Bible for thousands of years. She grew up with these stories, and as a teenager she began writing about what lies between the lines: fears, hopes, doubts, and dreams.

In her historical novels, she combines biblical tradition with careful research and literary fiction. Her stories focus on women whose perspectives are often only hinted at in the ancient texts. She brings their experiences to life in an emotional, sensitive, and compelling way—as timeless stories about love, trust, loss, and the search for one’s own path.

At the age of sixteen, she completed her first novel about Dinah, the daughter of Jacob. “Dinah: The Lost Sister” received an award in a nationwide writing competition in 2001. It was followed by “Rahab: The Traitor of Jericho” and “Esther: Queen of Persia.”
