James Thornton is a cybersecurity compliance consultant, founder of Big Data Plumbing, and co-author of Life on Offense: Do HARD Things. A former U.S. Army officer, he led global missions before shifting his focus to protecting critical infrastructure and building digital trust. Today, he helps companies in defense, manufacturing, and life sciences secure their systems and prove compliance where failure isn’t an option.
Outside of consulting, James is a father, writer, and endurance athlete. His time in combat arms leadership, ultra-distance racing, and business ventures shaped a simple conviction: real growth only happens on the edge of discomfort. His mission is to help people and organizations stop drifting, take the offensive, and build lives they own.
