Devona Burgess

Devona Burgess is a multi-genre author whose stories blend haunting beauty with emotional depth. Her work spans psychological thrillers and dark fantasy—each exploring the fragile intersections of fear, memory, and the human heart.

She is best known for Silent Invitation, a gripping forensic thriller following CSI lead analyst Katherine Poe and a killer known only as The Artist. Devona is also working on the Gallery of Shade series, a darkly lyrical fantasy-horror cycle beginning with The Ashen Crown, as well as the psychological thriller If You Look Away. She has some children’s books in the works, along with a series she is working on that is a novel retelling of the Bible for middle school-adults to understand God's Word more.

Through every story, Devona invites readers into worlds where truth hides in shadows, courage blooms in unlikely places, and silence often speaks the loudest.

When she’s not writing, she’s spending time walking hand in hand with Jesus. She’s spending time with her husband and kiddos in the Appalachian foothills. Her husband and she adopted three little ones as babies with NAS. She makes jewelry and dabbles in several other things. If she can create something with her hands to make people smile that is what she will be doing.
