Anthony D'Amato

Anthony "Tony" D'Amato is a Professor of Silviculture and Applied Forest Ecology and Director of the Forestry Program at the University of Vermont. Prior to that, he taught at the University of Minnesota and was a Bullard Fellow at Harvard University's Harvard Forest. His research addresses a wide range of contemporary challenges, including climate change and invasive insects and pathogens, and advances ecological and adaptive stewardship models for sustaining forests in the context of ever-evolving objectives and ecological conditions.

Tony earned a B.S. in Forest Ecosystem Science from the University of Maine, an M.S. in Forest Science from Oregon State University, and a Ph.D. in Forest Resources from the University of Massachusetts.
