D. A. Pracht

D. A. Pracht is a U.S. Army veteran, researcher, and author from Southern Illinois. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before being wounded in Afghanistan in 2009.

Following his military service, he pursued extensive studies in criminal justice, psychology, intelligence, homeland security, and strategic studies. His work focuses on veterans’ mental health, behavioral threat assessment, trauma-informed research, and covert-program psychology.

His fiction blends psychological suspense, military realism, and conspiracy-driven storytelling. Echo Trigger, the first novel in The Lance Grey Files series, explores memory, identity, trauma, and the hidden costs of war.
