Mark W. Griffin is the debut author of The Mortality Thief, described by Kirkus Reviews as "a high-octane financial thriller," He does not have a Master of Fine Arts (MFA). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He does not have a collection of short stories or poetry. He has a long list of professional articles and papers written during a career of investment banking, asset management and insurance. Working as a Chief Risk Officer, he has been responsible for not just a shedload of analysis but telling stories about what has gone wrong and what can go wrong, and serving as the corporate incarnation of cop, investigator, and crime reporter.
