Michael W. Corcoran was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1964 and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. Before turning to writing, he worked just about every job you can imagine—construction worker, butcher, taxi driver, truck driver, video store manager, bartender, bar manager, bouncer, strip club manager, and even a private detective.
A lifelong martial artist, he’s studied Judo, Kyokushin Karate, Boxing, and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. When he’s not on the mat or riding his Harley, he’s buried in books—devouring everything from new voices to classic literature—or watching films, a passion that has led him to write ten screenplays.
He’s also the proud father of a daughter who graduated from NYU, his proudest accomplishment by far.
