Marjean Brooks

Marjean Brooks is the author of the inspirational children’s book, Listen to the Silence, published by Redemption Press in 2025. She is also co-author of The Way of Grace by Glandion Carney, published by InterVarsity Press in 2014. She won the title of "Writer of the Year" at the Write to Publish Conference in Wheaton, IL, for her work on The Way of Grace.

Writing poetry, stories, and articles on faith have been a lifelong pursuit for Marjean. For nearly four decades Marjean has championed God’s Word and invited others to know God through her two books, numerous articles, publications, and weekly Precept classes at her local church.

Marjean and her husband, Ricky, live in Birmingham, Alabama, where from their covered back porch they are blessed to enjoy a front-row seat to God’s beauty in creation on Lake Heather.

God is using Marjean's teaching and writing skills along with her life experience of following after the heart of God even while going through difficult circumstances. In past years of walking through divorce, being a single mom to three children while pursuing a teaching career, re-marrying and gaining three step-children, as well as experiencing a profound decade of loss, Marjean shares with us the insights she has learned through these and other means of grace.
