Térèsa Tierney, writer and author of her first novel ‘At Face Value’, which is inspired by life and experiences in her home city of Edinburgh

In Teresa’s own words, ‘I have, in a way, been working on this book for over thirty years.’ During this time, she has travelled extensively, lived and worked overseas throughout her youth and into her thirties. Keeping diaries, notes and memories of places, people, adventures and mishaps, building an emotional toolbox of experiences, feelings, sadness and complex realities, character traits, human addictions, emotions of joy, heartbreaking pain, and physical hurt. She uses her life experiences and adventures to flesh out the characters in her book. It is not an autobiography or a direct account of her life but a work of fiction, specifically a psychological thriller with elements of family drama and mystery.

Térèsa lives and works from her home in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, where she spends her non-writing time hillwalking and Mountain Biking with her husband.
