Craig D. Hanks

I, Craig D Hanks, was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington. After graduating from high school, I studied Land Surveying for one year; and then I entered Western Washington University to study Physics and Mathematics. I completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1971. I have worked in fiberglass boat building, both production and management; also, as an apprentice welder and as a municipal parks’ caretaker. In 1977 I started and operated a commercial printing business for 20 years, selling it in 1997. After relocating to Eugene, Oregon in 1999 I worked for two commercial printing companies and The Eugene Register Guard newspaper. I have been retired since 2008. The development of my book “Social Benchmarks” began in the 1970’s; a first edition was published in 2008 and is now revised and re-published in 2025. My expertise in Social and Economic theories comes from decades of independent study.
