Mark Badham is Senior Lecturer in Public Relations at Leeds Beckett University, UK.
His research focuses on organisations' communication strategies and approaches tailored to digital environments, particularly communication through the news media and in online public spaces during crises such as corporate scandals and pandemics. Within the disciplines of corporate communication and public relations, his research addresses strategic communication solutions to complex organisational communication challenges that play out in digital and social media environments.
He has taught corporate communication, public relations and organisational communication at 9 universities across the UK, Australia, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Germany. Mark is gaining international recognition as a 'digital communication' scholar. Along with Professor Vilma Luoma-aho, he is lead author of the 2025 Routledge textbook 'Digital Communication Management: Theories and Practices for a Global and Volatile World' and co-editor of the 'Handbook on Digital Corporate Communication' (2023). He is also co-host of a podcast called 'Digital Corporate Communication - Dialogues with Scholars', available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
