Anthony O’Keeffe is an award-winning writer and storyteller with over 25 years’ experience in film, television, and media. He spent 15 years as a senior scriptwriter on Fair City, Ireland’s leading television drama, and has worked across scores of films as a scriptwriter, editor and creative consultant. He has also lectured on film and scriptwriting at the National Film School in Dublin.
With a Master’s degree in both Film & Television and Advertising, O’Keeffe brings a unique narrative lens to his exploration of prehistory, the origins of belief and their impact on human evolution. Drawing on research from anthropology, archaeology, ancient history and philosophy, his writing invites readers to rethink how religious belief has shaped our development as a species.
In addition to his work in media and marketing, O’Keeffe is a long-time film critic, with by-lines in The Irish Times, InDublin, and The Sunday Business Post, and is a regular contributor to arts programming on Irish radio.
