Andrew (Andy) Beck was born in a small town nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in North Georgia, where he still finds his deepest sense of home. A 1987 high school graduate, Andy will be the first to admit his life hasn’t been filled with headlines or notoriety. But it has been rich in the quiet rhythms of mountain living. The woods, ridges, and winding backroads of Appalachia have always been his constant companions, and it’s from these landscapes that he draws inspiration for his writing. In his work, Andy explores the darker undercurrents of small communities and the haunted beauty of the mountains he loves.
