Michael Owens

Born in Galveston, Michael Owens is a botanist by training and writes from his home in Cypress, Texas. Michael has a book, Second Chances, about online dating for seniors. He was widowed in 2020, and the book shares insights he had about online dating before he found a life partner and married in 2024. He loves to travel, woodworking and writing.

Michael’s poetry work has been included in publications including Metonym Literary Journal at Jessup University, Red River Review, Houston Chronicle-After Harvey Poems, Poetica 2 The Inner Circle Writers Group. His work has been in juried anthologies including Texas Poetry Calendar, Houston Poetry Fest, Texas Poetry Society Book of the Year, and Austin International Poetry Society.
