William Whitmore

William Peter Whitmore, originally from Indiana, spent his youth in Taiwan and Thailand as a dependent of State Department personnel. The opportunity allowed him to travel through Europe and Asia.

William served in the US Army in West Germany during the Cold War. After leaving the Army, he pursued a career in law enforcement, training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia. The author earned his black belt in martial arts with Tompkins Karate Association (TKA) and taught Tang Soo Do and Jiu Jitsu in the Washington, DC area for over fifteen years.

William spent much of his career at an independent government agency, working his way up the ladder until finding a job defining business requirements for software developers. Including military time, his career in public service spanned over thirty years. When he is not writing, Whitmore enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
