Hi, my name is Glenn. I am an amputee mountain biker from County Durham and the author of “Lost2bFound,” which is a raw and candid exploration of resilience, identity, and the healing power of movement. After facing life-changing adversity, including witnessing a murder, the amputation of my right leg, a cancer diagnosis and then an autoimmune disease, I have attempted to rebuild with my connection to the outdoors through adaptive mountain biking, using a unique sporting prosthetic knee, the Bartlett Tendon G3 Infinity Knee. Turning steep climbs and rough trails into a metaphor for resilience. On and off the bike, I advocate for accessibility in sport and honest conversations around mental health. My goal is to pay it forward and hopefully encourage others to keep moving forward when faced with their own personal challenges—one section, one corner, one day at a time. Through writing, rides, and discussion, I hope I can highlight what can be found when we’re willing to get lost, and how community, curiosity, and courage can transform setbacks into discovering new paths and opportunities.
Thank you, best wishes
Glenn
