Verl Johnson

Hi, I’m Verl Johnson—an author, mother, beekeeper, and lifelong storyteller. I grew up in a small rural town in Jamaica, surrounded by lush hills, rivers, and beaches. My childhood was full of adventures—climbing mango trees, exploring streams, and watching golden sunsets—and those memories now inspire the stories I share with children and families.

I write storybooks, puzzle books, coloring books, and journals because I believe learning should feel like play. Through my books, I hope to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and inspire children to believe in themselves.

When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me tending my beehives, enjoying a cup of tea sweetened with my own honey, or spending time with my family. I live by a simple philosophy: gratitude fuels creativity, and joy is meant to be shared.
