J.L. Holmes

John Holmes is the father of two boys and hobby farmer living in Wake Forest. Growing up in North Carolina, he developed a love for the outdoors, imagination, and the simple moments that often become the best stories.

John’s books are inspired by watching his sons explore the world around them — from muddy boots and backyard adventures to the endless creativity found in his children’s dreams and make-believe. He is also greatly inspired by his wife, an elementary school teacher whose passion for helping shape future leaders and kindhearted people influences the heart behind every story he writes.

Through his storytelling, John hopes to capture the wonder, silliness, innocence, and warmth of childhood for his boys while creating meaningful moments that inspire young readers and the families who read alongside them.
