John R. Sittema

John Richard Sittema has been a preaching pastor for more than fifty years, serving six congregations across two Reformed denominations. He has also served as a pastoral resource to global mission organizations in Asia and lectured at Reformed seminaries on missional and pastoral theology. In recent years, he has become a trusted guide for churches in crisis — stepping into wounded congregations and leading them toward healing through the truth of God's word.

He is the author of three books, including With a Shepherd's Heart (1996) and Meeting Jesus at the Feast (2010) — both translated into Portuguese, the latter now in Korean as well. His newest, Where Justice and Peace Kiss, is a collection of meditations on Revelation that traces God's victory in Jesus: secured in the past, at work in the present, assured for the future.

John and his wife Carol live outside Charlotte, North Carolina, and are blessed with four children and twelve grandchildren.
