Maggie Moor

Maggie Moor is a New York City author, licensed psychoanalyst, and jazz-blues singer-songwriter. She is the creator of the "Charmay: New York Noir" series and author of its debut novel, "Skinless: The Story of a Female Survivor."

Her work is a study in the architecture of survival—where the "street poetry" of the underground meets the sharp clinical insight of a Gradiva-nominated clinician. Hailed as a "deliciously weighty work" (Kirkus Reviews), "undeniably powerful" (BookLife), and a "must-read" (IndieReader), Moor’s psychological noir explores the visceral internal split and the neurological cost of trauma.

A NYSED-licensed psychoanalyst specializing in PTSD and addiction, she is also a national-level NPC athlete and has recorded with jazz legends including David Sanborn, Richie Cannata (Billy Joel), Kenny Rampton (Wynton Marsalis), and Eddie Ojeda (Twisted Sister). She is also the author of "I AM: Mind and Body Union" (Archway/Simon & Schuster) and creator of the companion album, "Skinless: Songs from the Book."
