Robert M. Coles

Robert M. Coles is an author, playwright, marketing strategist, and lifelong builder of systems—for businesses, for brands, and for himself. With a career spanning more than 15 years, Robert has worked across industries to help organizations align their marketing, sales, and operations efforts around one common goal: sustainable growth. From his early days as a content writer producing ten blog posts a day in a digital “content farm,” to leading global rebrands and managing revenue operations for multinational corporations, Robert has seen every side of the marketing machine.

His journey has taken him from helping non-profits tell their stories on shoestring budgets to building out fully integrated RevOps departments for high-growth companies. Along the way, he’s developed a reputation for being both a strategic thinker and a hands-on problem solver. He’s led marketing and PR initiatives for commercial real estate firms in New York City, introduced automation and customer success programs in the senior living sector, and helped modernize tech stacks for companies navigating digital transformation. Today, he serves as Head of Marketing and PR for a luxury outdoor living eCommerce brand, where he continues to merge creative storytelling with operational excellence.

Robert is also the creator of the 28-Day Challenge series—a collection of hands-on business workbooks designed to help entrepreneurs, marketers, and managers develop new skills and build better systems, one day at a time. With over 30 titles covering everything from SEO and sales to RevOps and Salesforce onboarding, the series is rooted in the belief that small, consistent action leads to long-term transformation.

In addition to his business writing, Robert is an accomplished playwright. His stage works—including Lithium & Xanax & All of My Friends, Inheriting Mayhem, Canceling Decency, and Session Notes—explore themes of mental health, identity, and the search for meaning in a chaotic world. His memoir, I Know Where I’ve Been, chronicles a year-long journey of personal and professional reflection, offering readers a raw and honest look at what it means to rebuild after burnout and rediscover one’s creative purpose.

A passionate advocate for entrepreneurs, creatives, and change-makers, Robert dedicates much of his time to mentoring small business owners and helping nonprofit organizations find their voice. His work—whether on stage, on the page, or behind the scenes—centers on a single throughline: the power of persistence. He believes that failure is not the opposite of success, but a necessary part of it—and that the courage to keep building, even after a setback, is what truly defines us.

Robert currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where he lives with his dog, Theodore. When he’s not writing, strategizing, or speaking, you can find him around a backyard fire pit, planning his next creative project.
