Rita Hanner-Ward

A former museum curator and media contributor, Rita Hanner‑Ward grew up in Littleton, Colorado, and now resides in Arizona. She is a writer with many passions, dividing her time among creative pursuits, hospice volunteer work, clay hand‑building, and caring for her loyal dog, Zorro.

Her romantic‑suspense adventure fiction is published under the Kiva Wolfe™ fiction brand. Through that brand, she released her debut novel Red Flash in 2005 and republished it independently in 2026. She has since released its sequel, Tears of Iemanjá. Together, Red Flash and Tears of Iemanjá form the first two books in the Gem Provenance Legacy — a story of legacy, loss, desire, redemption, and the fire within every stone. She is currently writing the third book in the series and developing a limited‑series mystery.

Rita’s literary repertoire extends beyond fiction to poetry, where she explores themes of memory, grief, and redemption. The release of Her Inconvenient Elegy: A Life in Fragments and Her Song of Sorrows: A Quiet Mourning in Verse — the first two installments of the Her Poetic Awakening series — marks a significant milestone in her diverse and evolving creative career.
