Vicky MacArthur

Vicky began her nursing career with undergraduate training in Adult Nursing at King’s College London, graduating in 1990, followed by a master’s in Community Nursing with the Royal College of Nursing and the University of Manchester.

From 2000 to 2023, she worked at Oxford Brookes University, most recently as Deputy Programme Lead for Advanced and Specialist Practice, contributing to both undergraduate and postgraduate nursing education. She is now Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) at the University of Cumbria.

An active member of the Association of Advanced Practice Educators UK (AAPEUK), Vicky also chairs the national End Point Assessment Organisation network for the ACP apprenticeship. With clinical experience in Orthopaedics, Gerontology, Primary Care, and Urgent Care as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner, she brings extensive expertise to developing advanced practice across the UK.
