Born and raised in Eastern Germany, I have always been curious about the world beyond my hometown. After finishing my nursing studies, I set off traveling with my husband in 2007. We spent two years in Oceania, where I worked in nursing homes in New Zealand and Australia and developed my English skills. Before that, I had already studied medical English in Germany – so I was eager and ready to use language as a bridge between patients and medicine.

Back in Southern Germany, I dedicated myself to my medical career and family life, working in hospitals and private practices, and attending countless workshops and trainings. These years gave me deep insight into medical practice and language. In 2022, our family moved to Sweden, where I embraced my dream of becoming self-employed and started my own business as a linguist. Since then, I have specialized as a medical communicator and translator, particularly in oncology, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical market research.

My mission is simple but powerful:

To make medical language accessible for ALL!

Too often, I saw patients and their families struggle with the words used around them in hospitals, clinics, or research. That experience inspired me to write books that explain medicine in a way that respects the patient’s perspective and empowers people with knowledge.

When I’m not writing or translating, I’m a proud mother of three, with one dog, two cats, and a wonderful husband by my side. I love being out in nature, reading, learning, and exploring new ideas – curiosity has always been my driving force.

Through my writing, I want to give patients and readers a voice, making sure no one feels left behind when it comes to understanding medicine.
