Katie Kormanik

Katie has written two books so far: an introductory statistics textbook, Street-Smart Stats, and a memoir about her competitive chess days, Adventures of a Chess Girl. Katie loves sharing and interacting with the world, which is what compels her to write.

Her full-time job is in developing technical training strategies for semiconductor equipment maintenance and operations. She also has a side hustle as a real estate investor and REALTOR ®. She’s always on the lookout for surf or aerial silks buddies, or anyone who will try her homemade craft cocktails.

Katie lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, Golden Retriever, and two children.
