Dali Katz

I'm born in Iceland in 1973 and raised there, but I live in the United Kingdom. I lived in Norway from 1974-1976. I have lived in Denmark on two separate occasions, first from 1999-2004 and then again from 2006-2007. I lived in Austria from 2010-2016. I have also lived in the United Kingdom on two separate occasions, first from 2004-2006 and then from 2016 and onwards.

I'm the mother of three half-grown up young people, who are the gems of my life. My two eldest, a 20 years old (born in London, UK) and an 18 years old (born in Reykjavik, Iceland), have already flown the nest and live and study in Scandinavia. My youngest, a 14 years old (born in Vienna, Austria), still lives with me in the United Kingdom.

I'm educated a sociologist. I have a B.A. degree in Sociology from the University of Iceland. I have another B.A degree in Sociology from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark, and I also have a Cand.Scient.Soc degree (same as an MSc degree) in Sociology from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. I also studied Psychology for one year, and the year after I decided to study Pedagogy and Educational Studies for one year at the University of Iceland, before I found what I was most interested in which was Sociology, which I began studying after those previous two years.

Alongside writing my first novel The Code Cracker, and I'm already in the process of writing my second novel, I work in a secondary school in the United Kingdom, and as a translator at a Belgian publishing house.

I've participated in various unpaid extra curricular activities, been elected twice on the board of a student organisations while studying in Denmark, and participated in other forms of volunteering.

I like to do kundalini yoga, power walk in nature, enjoy the company of family, friends, and that of myself, experience new interesting things, and follow up on what is going on in the world.
